Wondering what’s been happening at Birtsmorton Court since Christmas? Well, I’m here to fill you in. 2015 has got off to a great start, with a lot of the first part of this year having been spent on renovations, the most exciting one of all being Park Lodge.
After listening to your feedback and understanding how important weddings venues with accommodation are to you, we wanted to offer a little more choice for your overnight stay. Park Lodge is a cottage within the grounds of Birtsmorton Court that has been renovated to accommodate two large luxury double bedrooms with en suite bathrooms and modern facilities. There was much debate over the décor and the finishing touches for these rooms, but there is no doubt that the end result is something very special. We have photos and more information to come soon, so watch this space.
The other exciting addition to our onsite accommodation is the new 42” flat screen television which has been added to the lounge in the Garden House along with a selection of DVDs, perfect for a night in with the girls the evening before your wedding.
A lot of work has also taken place on the car park area and the surrounding glebe. 400 hazel trees have been planted as part of a regeneration plan, and a wooden post and rail fence has been erected too. The area is looking great already and is attracting lots of birds and wildlife. It will continue to develop as the hazel trees grow.
We’ve had lots of busy Saturdays too, full of meetings and appointments to view Birtsmorton Court. It’s great for us to spend the day meeting so many lovely people who are all at different stages with their wedding plans. One Saturday even saw a very romantic surprise proposal by the fountain in the White Garden!
We were delighted to work with Belle House Event Catering for their first wedding at Birtsmorton Court at the start of this year. It was a fantastic day, with really excellent food and service. We’ve received wonderful feedback about the day and are thrilled that so many of you are booking them for your wedding day. We’re looking forward to seeing their tasty food being thoroughly enjoyed throughout the year.
Finally, an exciting purchase! We’ve recently bought 60 white wooden folding chairs for you, if you are planning an outdoor civil ceremony in the White Garden. These chairs are going to look great nestled in amongst the white flowers and greens shrubs in the garden.
Now that we’re in to April, the sun is shining, the flowers are blossoming and we have many exclusive weddings to plan and look forward to in 2015. Keep an eye on our blog for a real wedding or two.
