Autumn & Winter Church Weddings

If you’re planning a church wedding, it couldn’t be easier at Birtsmorton Court.

The Church of St. Thomas of Canterbury with St. Peter and St. Paul is just a short stroll away from Birtsmorton Court, accessed through a private gate, so you won’t need to worry about transport.

Please note you’ll be required to attend one service a month at the church for six months before your wedding. If this isn’t feasible and you’d still like part of your ceremony to be held in the church, you can opt for a civil ceremony with a church blessing straight afterwards.

Dating back to the 14th century, the church is beautifully well-kept and can hold up to 115 people. To find out more about church weddings or to arrange a visit, please contact Reverend Julie James on 01531 651795 or email:

“We wanted to get married in a church with a reception venue close by. We also wanted a quintessentially English wedding in beautiful countryside – Birtsmorton ticked all the boxes. Fantastic venue with a fantastic team.”
